A YEAR GONE AT AMC

Well, this brings an end to what an emphatically awesome academic year at Ameer ud Din Medical College.

Surely, the beginning wasn't that great. New people.. New place...a totally new atmosphere that, at first instance, was never too pleasing. A campus having least of the facilities needed, but after all 'twas a government institute & we were amongst the few lucky ones to have got there not only by our hard work but also the Grace of Almighty. Interestingly, a unique feeling of being the pioneer students was an addition too.

The first day was a chilling cold one, 13th of December I remember. An all-time most memorable batch photo of the pioneers was taken. There began a whole new experience, a super duper one.

                                                                                     Days passed by and we all were acclimatizing steadily to the environment of a professional college. Amazing new friends were made. Extra-curricular societies were set up. After a period of 6 weeks or so, began the fun.. the excitement which was dearly missed during the tough dry days of medical studies. The Welcome Party...

9th of Feb, a frosty cold day, the exhilaration was on high. Being the organizers, we tried our level best to prepare well for it. Lights, action, music, dance...it had all. And most importantly; all would agree; a very good food at the lunch. That concluded the first proper extra-curricular activity in the freshly started medical school. That was all too memorable.
                                                                                             After that, there was a noticeable break till the other fun event. Between that, we went through tough and demanding stage of studies. Back to back class tests and a busy schedule. Finally, we were glad to have a funfair, a clearly spring event and superbly planned one.

It was March 19, 2013. The event was planned on a short notice, accommodated just before the Annual Sports that were supposed to take place on 21st & 22nd.

                                                                                        Funfair=Fun guaranteed. That was it.

Stalls of Appetizing food stuffs, 'shugal' activities, Music.. There were all. A 'derra' scene was a totally different one...rightly loved by all! Mehdi stall was a complete fun package too. Ha-ha..  a totally neglected and ignored series of book stalls was depicting the passion for book-reading..  :P

Annual Sports was another major extra-curricular event, a complete chance for all to exhibit athletic skills on the field, especially the boys. Credit goes to all the participants, organizers and the proctors for putting up such a great show of their skills and talent. That gave us a chance to be with our respected teachers and professors in a complete new, different outlook. All participated well to grace the occasion.
                                                                                           Following that, there was a gap...long gap till the next fun event. Till then, we went through stages of anatomy, tough questioning tests of physiology and that of biochemistry too. Thankfully, that all went well.

Last but not the least; we had planned a whole week for the students, by the students... The Students' Week.. “Ameerians Rejoicing”
That was scheduled to take place between April 22-26. All took place according to plan. Due to extensity of the activity, there were lapses in arrangements.. But above all the events like declamation, art exhibition, quiz, gaming, mushaira etc. were greatly applauded by everyone.
Because of some serious issues, the annual dinner was postponed for a while which, due to busy academic schedule, finally took place on May 25th. That was two in one.. Drama night plus annual dinner. The performances were good. The food was even better..  Never mind!

That was another well-organized and well managed event in a very low budget... Thanks to Mam Fozia for cooperating to the maximum.

Succeeding that were studies all the way. It is 8th of July, officially the last working day before Send ups. All those days are a history now.. Sad but true!

Summarizing, i must say the past eight months we had gave us tons of knowledge & were full of fun, excitement and playfulness...leaving behind loads & loads of cherish able memories.

Thanks for your time. Wishing all of you for your exams.

Cheers!
